Enact Residential Support

Through Enact Residential Support, AWRC provides individualized, community-based living options for individuals with complex needs. Each program is designed to offer stability, structure, and compassionate care—while building the foundation for greater self-sufficiency over time.

As part of AWRC’s broader network of care, these organizations work to ensure individuals receive the right level of support at the right time, with the flexibility to grow as their needs change.

Georgia Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Crisis Homes

ASD Crisis Homes are short-term residential homes that provide a safe, supportive, 24/7 care setting to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum who are experiencing significant emotional and behavioral distress. In partnership with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) agency, ASD Crisis Homes focuses on stabilization so that the youth in their care can safely transition back home.

Georgia Transitional Homes

Located in Richmond County, Georgia, Enact’s Transitional Homes provide short-term, structured support for individuals experiencing acute crises. In partnership with the Georgia DBHDD agency, these homes are designed to help individuals stabilize and successfully transition to less intensive settings and back into their communities.

Each home offers a highly supportive environment that includes assistance with daily living, behavioral and psychiatric support, nursing care and medication management, and coordinated treatment planning through an interdisciplinary team. Together, these services create solutions that address one-of-a-kind needs and help individuals recognize the possibilities ahead.

Meet JD!

When JD first arrived at one of Enact Residential Services’ group homes, his needs were complex. After experiencing multiple placements, he required significant behavioral support and struggled with aggression and instability.

As JD grew more comfortable and supported, the team recognized that with the right balance of structure and independence, he could thrive. They transitioned him into a supported living home with roommates, shared staffing, and—for the first time—meaningful time on his own.

During a recent visit, JD proudly shared a chart tracking his progress. Once filled with frequent incidents, it was now nearly empty. For the first time since entering services, JD no longer requires a Behavior Support Plan.

JD is proud of the progress he’s made. His life is more independent, more stable, and filled with a sense of ownership and confidence that previously felt out of reach.
